The name of our association – UK media – isn’t random. So far, we publish printed magazines only at the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Philosophical Faculty, but we would like to “expand” also elsewhere. We consider, for example, creating a magazine for the Faculty of Law, the medical faculties and the Faculty of Science. Nor are we afraid of challenging projects such as a web-tv or radio.
We believe that every good faculty of the Charles University deserves its own students’ magazine. Yet from our proper experience, we know that publishing a quality and well-read journal isn’t easy at all. Lack of know-how, staff and financial resources belong among the most common and crucial problems. UK media is there to help you with publishing your magazine.
What do we offer?

Years of experience with Sociál and FFakt are, to a large extent, transferable to other media projects. We can help you with the overall concept of your magazine, the design of concrete sections, language and marketing…in other words, with everything related with publishing a magazine (or other media).
* money
UK media knows how to obtain funds from the university and the commercial sector. We have strong relations to advertisers.
* web
ukmedia.cz is our central domain and hosts all magazines published by UK media.
* strength
We are one of the very few and rare associations that function on more than one faculty of the Charles University. With over 50 registered members, we belong among the largest students’ association of the CUNI.
Who can join?
* Students
Students or a group of students, who wants to publish a magazines/newspaper at the Charles University or its faculties or run a students’ internet radio or TV.
* Existing periodicals
Printed or on-line magazines from one of the CUNI’s faculties which wants to participate on the project of UK media for whatever reason.
